DKP 2.6.2 Customer Incidents and Resolved Issues

The following resolved incidents are included in this release.

CAPI Move Causes Worker Kubelet Issue (CAPPP)

D2IQ-97212

In a Pre-provisioned DKP cluster, you may have experienced a worker node in a not ready condition after performing a dkp move capi-resources to make the cluster self-managed. This was due to a race condition in the CAPPP (pre-provisioned) provider, which has been fixed.

Upgrade Could Fail for EKS or AKS Clusters

D2IQ-100149

When upgrading from prior versions of DKP, the dkp update nodepool command could fail when updating EKS or AKS clusters.   The bug has been fixed.

CAPA AMIs are Not Available for the Kubernetes Version used in DKP 2.6.2

D2IQ-100175

AWS AMIs for some Kubernetes versions may not be available. We recommend using Konvoy Image Builder (KIB) to create a custom AMI.

  • Do not use the upstream values as defaults for the --ami-* flags.

  • If you specify any of these flags for AMI ID lookup, specify all of them: --ami-base-os, --ami-format, and --ami-owner.
